January 2013 // Sonic Pi

Following on from the success of our December session, MIDI music hacking, we are following up in the new year with more music madness.

Special guest Sam Aaron will be coming down to run a session on his new Raspberry Pi music synthesiser Sonic Pi.

If you already own a Raspberry Pi or were lucky enough to get one for Christmas then please bring it along. If you have a power supply, keyboard, mouse or memory card then please bring those along too. We have a few spares but not enough for everyone. Additionally please bring some headphones with you so you can hear yourself.

If you don’t have a Raspberry Pi then you’re still welcome to come along, you can pair up with someone else who has a Raspberry Pi or bring along a laptop with you and we’ll help you to make a Scratch game or website.

This session is suitable for ages 8+. We welcome all ages and abilities however all young people must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The event is completely free but we do ask that you register here and get a ticket at least 24 hours before each meetup so that we can plan for the correct numbers.
